AN INTIMATE MESSAGE FRO JJ-KWON

I can't. There are no words.

Hey,

I would like to start off with something unique and to do that I have written a poem.
Because I hate simple messages and I like to show some of my creativeness.

1,2,3, look at me
If you don't like what you see
Then please tell me why and then delete me
for common courtesy

Lets get the ball rolling
and start with a gang
I got my toy gun and it went bang bang bang!

If you liked my short poem, my rhyme and rhythm please,
Check out my profile and reply back! ^_^...

lay me down in the tall grass

Its been a pretty crazy weekend and I'm definitely feeling its effects.

Thursday night was a dance party @ Meghans:

Friday night was Parts and Labour with Natalie, Meghan, Sarde and Maera. Saturday was cleaning in prep for my latka party and peeling and peeling and peeling 10 lbs of potatoes for my 3 lovely guests that showed up. Then we went to Parts and Labour again and dance a little to Motown and then went home. We were pretty full of potatoes. Here's some pictures:

Last night was more Hanukkah parties and kids and singing. It was pretty cute.
Here's me and Nurit and me and Freddy.

I'm going to work out now and then come back home and get back into bed. All this snow is really putting a damper on being sick.

RAT BASTARD

My friends Charlotte, Laura and Alana are some of the coolest chicks around. But just to prove they're that much cooler than you, they started a band called The B.B. Guns. Go check them out - trust me, you're gonna love them.

DECEMBER 2ND

Yesterday was the first of December, the first night of Hanukkah and the first time I had seen Natalie Ferguson in the flesh since August 31st. So naturally, it was a great day.

Despite how great yesterday was, I find myself today continually struggling with the fact that I may have the stomach flu and probably a head cold - sniffling, stuffy head combined with the fact that I can't eat anything that isn't banana's, white rice, applesauce, tea and white toast. Its oh so fun being at "work" like this. But I will cheer up, I just know it. Its Thursday - ain't no reason to be mad about that!

Tomorrow it my last day here (oh thank baby j) and then Natalie and Meghan and I are going out on the town (that is if I feel up to it...) and then Saturday, oh Saturday, Hanukkah party! (well, lets REALLY hope I'm feeling better by then).

I have a picture of my ladies from last night's dinner where they ate the dinner I prepared and I ate a white bun and some applesauce, but its at home. But they're lovely, I can assure you that.

NB: here are my ladies!

its just silly how much I love these girls.

love love love

Last night I saw the Cash Cab! Well, I thought it was exciting - here's a picture:

CASH CAB!
And then I saw the people that they selected to be in it being pre-screened and smiling like idiots because they was gonna win some monayyy. It was honestly the highlight of my evening. And before that I went to the gym. BUT before THAT I went and fiiiinnnnnaaaallllllyyyyy found a suitable leopard print pencil skirt! haza! AND on  sale! just my luck! and I got another skirt almost identical but in herringbone so yay me for going to Winners and braving it all. (Pictures to follow later when it wouldn't be creepy for me to take pictures ie: not at "work" or the gym).

But most importantly, my dearest Natalie Ferguson is coming in tomorrow from Brazil and I'm going to make dinner for her and Meghan F. so - pretty stoked on that.

like a mountain

I didn't blog yesterday because I was too busy doing other things, like, living life. But really I was just cooking and doing laundry.

I met my cousin Diana for brunch at Cocolatte on St. Clair and then did a huge grocery shop for all the ingredients for my cooking day. Then I came home and started making food and did 2 loads of laundry and went up and down the stairs an infinite number of times. I made: sweet and sour soup, hummus and whole wheat apricot walnut bread from my Jaime Oliver cookbook and it turned out horribly and I don't want to talk about it. Although, it looks pretty when it finally finished baking, about an hour and a half after it was supposed to be done. Jaime, why not just come here and make it for me?

Then I talked to my sister on Skype for an hour and a half and it was just lover-ly

Now I'm back at the mystery office with a headache and a craving to host a dinner party - so I took some advil and decided to host one!

Saturday, December 4th, 9:00 p.m.
My Apartment
Fried potatoes and lots o'booze
Be there. Bring a friend.

conspiracy theories and interior design

Value village shopping with Zoe is the absolute best. She is by far my thrifting good luck charm. In total I calculated that we walked 3.8 km.

I got some custard cups I desperately needed, a Playboy toiletries kit, a skirt that I already had but in a different colour for half what I initially paid for it, and this tray:

Florida!
Did you know there is a Hollywood, Florida! yeah! apparently.

Playboy Travel Case! complete with Bunny Ear icon on the zipper

A good long nap, so much water and brinner later I am feeling tons better - late onset hangovers, take that!

Nothing is doing tonight and that's really ok and I am going to make my grocery list and maybe just go to bed.

we own the sky

Last night made up for last weekend when I sat around and slept.

Currently piecing together last night and watching Mike & Molly re-runs. I went out with my friend Alex A. from Winnipeg who lives here and who I know from both cities.

After work I went shopping and picked up this baby from the Gap on Bloor, which I have found is amazing btw.

 SO CUTE, RITE?

Anyway, I met Alex at the most depressing place on earth (that would be the Eaton Centre after close) and we made our way down to her friend Philip's place for gay fun. And we sat and sat and drank and smoked and talked and giggled and then we went to The Beaver for a dance party and to drink more. Then Alex and I had some poutine and realized how much we had to drink (wine, and tequila, and stolen beer....) and then went home.

Here is Alex:

She finally made it on the futon!

I vaguely remember hating myself for drinking that much and spending a good amount of time with the porcelain in my bathroom. Seriously, never again.

Today I am going for coffee and value village shopping with fabulous Zoe and then maybe a nap and then hopefully something as fabulous tonight (but definitely not as much drinking...)

I have to go pick my optimal fabulous walking around/thrift shopping outfit.

okbye.

no sleep tonight

the weather is getting colder and colder and my layers are increasing exponentially each day.

I recently purchased a little travel kit of shoe polish and a shoe cloth and a brush and now I'm obsessed with cleaning my shoes...and actually pulling some out from the back of the closet...and being horrified that the soles of my FAVORITE pair of Jeffrey Campbell oxfords were cracked. Cracked for god sake. What am I doing when I walk that I crack shoes? goodness.

Anyway, I'm going to pick up a pair of boots and a pair of flats that I had fixed last week, and this morning I dropped off my JC Oxford's for a little TLC and got some "warming" insoles for my Blondo riding boots so I will stay warm and dry all winter long (which is good because I think it might be winter now...it was Toronto snowing earlier). NB: I went and got my boots (they look soo good) and sent my ones I was wearing to get fixed! WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY SHOES?!

I picked up another week of work here at the mystery downtown office, which I am somewhat regretting because I was looking forward to another week off to go to the gym and kinda bum around...but, money trumps sleep and I can still work on my course so I took it. Well that and Char is working around the corner and we can have power lunches together next week.

Plans for the weekend include: I don't know. I do know my fabulous friend Zoe and I are going Value Village hunting Saturday which makes me happy like you wouldn't even believe. She's a good luck charm, I just know it.

I FINALLY found a suitable sequin skirt for my wardrobe, although I wish it were here now! Here it is. Now I'm going for lunch!

this trumpet inside of my head

I'm at "work" and there's really nothing to do in the mornings except sit here and look good. At least the sun is shining and the air is crisp and I have a great view from this high up (44th floor).

I took some pictures of my new tights and my shoes on the Subway - bear with the quality, I was feeling inspired!

(top shop tights, Jeffrey Campbell suede wedges)

NB: the TTC is usually filthy.

Honestly, I haven't done anything yet but take someone to a board room and look up if you can make pot tea (nb: you can).

Here's a picture of the windows from up here. The reason you can't see anything is because its so sunny/there are so many windows downtown the sun reflects off everything and blinds you.

There is nothing more to say.

see what we can be

the weekend came and went and I did very much close to nothing. slept through my friends being fabulous friday, got my hair did saturday, watched SNL and actually laughed and then had the best zomg brunch of life sunday with my fab. friend Meara and we watched Some Like It Hot and she told me all these neat things about Norma Jean:

(the pictures took too long to load and I got impatient and whatever they're on fbook)

I've been temping at this office downtown and today I was like: HEY; I haven't been to Jonathan + Olivia in a long time. Hows about I go and check out their Top Shop stuff! So I did. And I came away with these babies...
....40% off and all all all mine! Now yes, they're not exactly "winter friendly" but...it barely snows here and well, they look really good with my new Top Shop tights that are kind of melange grey and oh so great. They look huge in this picture...that could have something to do with the fact that they're a 41 which is strange because really, I don't normally wear shoes that big but, I could really care less right now. THEY'RE MINE!

Glee came and went and it sucked and I yelled at the TV like an old man.

I predict that the rest of the week will be quite tame - however, taking suggestions now for weekend plans. must be able in incorporate above shoes and aforementioned tights. and maybe new Zara shirt that I will post tomorrow as I'm going to wear it tomorrow.

what a difference a day makes

or a year.

one hole year.

well, almost. not quite 365 days, but just about. 345 or something like that.

what happened?

- moves
- bugs
- kisses
- hugs
- winnipeg....3x
- moves
- fraya and paul
- death
- birth
- too many manicures to count
- too many jobs to count
- 24 lbs lost (and I can't seem to find them)
- infinite cabs
- infinite laughs
- new friends
- old friends
- too too too many ttc rides

now that you're all caught up I can tell you that I spent my day spending money I don't have. I got my hair cut and I got my hair dyed and then I went and got a manicure and then I went to the mall which was silly because its a saturday before christmas and it was just as bad as you thought it would be - so I got boots.

here's my hair and nails:
please don't hold this picture against me, I look so stupid.

here's my boots:

aannnddd now I have to go have a nap because well, running around being fabulous is just exhausting!
